By default, XAMPP has no passwords set and it is not recommended to run XAMPP with this configuration as it is accessible to others.
Simply type the following command (as root) to start a simple security check:
sudo /Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/xampp security
From MySQL 8.0.20, you can enable binary log transaction compression on a MySQL server instance. When binary log transaction compression is enabled, transaction payloads are compressed using the zstd algorithm, and then written to the server's binary log file as a single event (a Transactionpayloadevent ). Turns out, i had a space inserted after the last; and before 'C: Program Files MySQL MySQL Server 5.7' For this very simple reason, no matter what i did, MySql was still not being recognized. Once i eliminated the spaces before and after path, it worked perfectly. In retrospect, seems like a very obvious answer, but nobody's mentioned it.
